A flood of memories rush my mind. Safe and happy past Thanksgivings offer comfort.
I remember as kids watching "The Wizard Of Oz" as the women of the house worked their magic in my grandfather's house making tamales.
Turkey was served at OUR house.
Grandpa and Grandma preferred tamales. House rules.
The adults had conversation and coffee on the side.
5heir brand was Hills Brothers Coffee.
I can still smell the aroma. It danced around the living room and dared only go to the kitchen borderline.
It felt safer flying out a window towards the garden and corn field.
