THE ATHENA COFFEESHOP was at Hackberry and 10th Street in McAllen, Texas back in the late 1990s. It was on the southeast corner.
It was an intimate place with computers for patrons to surf the net.
The owner was a laid back fellow. The staff were in their 20s. They mirrored the owner's spirit.
Their Italian Sodas were Marvo!
It was a bummer when it closed down!
